Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you (“you”, “your”) and Shigoto AI (ABN 27 284 578 634) (“Shigoto AI”, “we”, “us”, “our”), governing your use of the Shigoto AI Chrome extension and website (the “Service”). By installing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service does
Shigoto AI is a tool that automates parts of your job search. Operating inside your own browser and under your own logged-in accounts, it searches supported job boards (currently SEEK and LinkedIn), generates answers to screening questions and cover letters using AI, and submits applications that you have configured and directed it to make. You are the applicant and the operator; the Service acts on your behalf and at your direction.
2. Job-board rules and your acceptance of risk
Automated tools may breach the terms of service of SEEK, LinkedIn, Indeed, or other job boards and websites. Using the Service could result in those platforms warning, restricting, suspending, or permanently banning your account, removing your applications, or taking other action against you.
You use the Service entirely at your own risk and you accept the full risk of any such consequences. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shigoto AI is not liable for, and you release us from, any suspension, ban, restriction, account loss, lost applications, missed opportunities, or any other consequence arising from any job board, website, employer, or third party — whether or not caused by the Service.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with the terms, rules, and policies of any website it interacts with. We do not warrant that use of the Service is permitted by any third-party platform.
3. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and licence key secure, and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
4. Subscriptions, billing and refunds
Shigoto AI offers a free tier and a paid “Pro” subscription. Paid features are billed in advance through our payment provider, Stripe.
- Auto-renewal. Pro subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle, and your payment method is charged the then-current fee, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
- Refunds. All fees are non-refundable except where a refund is required by the Australian Consumer Law. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, for time you did not use, or because you forgot to cancel before a renewal.
- Failed payments. If a charge fails, we may retry it and may suspend or downgrade your access to Pro features until payment succeeds.
- Price changes. We may change subscription prices or plan inclusions. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase before it takes effect, and the new price applies from your next billing cycle. Continuing to use Pro after that means you accept the new price.

5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to: submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in any application; impersonate another person; apply on behalf of anyone other than yourself; circumvent platform security or bot-detection measures; resell or redistribute the Service; or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate access for breach. See our separate Acceptable Use & Disclaimer.
6. Accuracy of your information and applications
The Service generates answers and cover letters from the résumé and information you provide. You are solely responsible for reviewing and for the content of every application submitted through the Service, including all screening answers and any representations made to employers. We provide an optional Approval Mode that lets you review each submission before it is sent. AI-generated content can contain errors; you should verify it. We are not responsible for the accuracy of any application or for any hiring decision.
7. Licence and intellectual property
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own job search while these Terms are in effect. All intellectual property in the Service remains ours. You retain ownership of your résumé and the content you provide, and you grant us the limited licence needed to operate the Service for you (including sending the necessary portions to our AI provider as described in the Privacy Policy).
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind except those that cannot be excluded by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with any third-party site at any given time, or that it will result in any interview, job offer, or other outcome. Job boards change their websites frequently and the Service may stop working on a given site without notice.
We reserve the right to add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service — including support for any particular job board — at any time, with or without notice. For example, if a platform changes its site or detection measures, we may withdraw support for it, and doing so is not a breach of these Terms.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shigoto AI will not be liable to you for any loss or damage of any kind — including loss of profits, opportunities, data, employment, or goodwill, and including direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss — arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service, or any action taken by any job board, website, employer, or third party.
Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) (including the Australian Consumer Law) that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our total liability is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the Service or refunding the fees you paid to us in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the liability.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Shigoto AI from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your use of the Service, the content of any application you submit through it, your breach of these Terms, or your breach of any third-party platform's terms.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, the licence in Section 7 ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 13) survive termination.
12. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and the Commonwealth of Australia.
Raise it with us first. Before starting any court proceeding (other than an application for urgent injunctive relief), you agree to first contact us at support@shigotoai.com.au with details of your concern and to give us a reasonable period of at least 30 days to try to resolve it with you in good faith.
Time limit on claims. To the maximum extent permitted by law, and except for any right or claim you have under the Australian Consumer Law (which this clause does not limit), any claim you have arising out of or in connection with the Service or these Terms must be commenced within twelve (12) months after the event giving rise to it; otherwise it is permanently barred.
13. General
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund & Billing Policy, and Acceptable Use & Disclaimer, form the entire agreement between you and us about the Service and replace any earlier representation, understanding, or agreement about it.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, it is to be read down to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid or, if it cannot be, severed from these Terms — and the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
No waiver. If we do not exercise or enforce a right under these Terms on any occasion, that is not a waiver of that right or of any other right, and does not prevent us from enforcing it later.
Assignment. You may not assign, transfer, or sub-license your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or novate our rights and obligations (for example, as part of a sale or restructure of the business) without your consent, provided your rights under these Terms are not materially reduced.
No agency or affiliation. Nothing in these Terms creates any partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between you and us. We are an independent tool and are not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of SEEK, LinkedIn, Indeed, any other job board, or any employer. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
Events beyond our control. We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations caused by anything beyond our reasonable control, including changes a third-party platform makes to its website or access rules, outages, network or hosting failures, or changes in law.
Notices. We may give you notices about the Service by email to the address on your account or by posting them on the website or in the extension, and you agree this satisfies any requirement that a notice be in writing.
